Please be advised that as part of the upcoming Vanier Parkway rapid bridge replacement (weekend of Oct 4), Vanier Parkway will be reduced to a single lane northbound and southbound between Coventry Road and Tremblay Road.
The reductions are scheduled to occur two (2) weeks prior and one (1) week after to the rapid bridge lift and replacement of the Vanier Parkway overpass anticipated to take place the weekend of October 4, 2014. During this time Vanier Parkway will be configured as outline below:
· Stage 1 – from September 20 to October 3, 2014
o Northbound traffic will be shifted onto the southbound lane for 2 (two) weeks. One lane in each direction will be maintained at all times.
Stage 2 – October 7 to October 13, 2014
o Southbound traffic will be shifted onto the northbound lane for one (1) week immediately following the rapid bridge replacement. One lane in each direction will be maintained at all times.
o Two lanes in each direction are scheduled to be reinstated by mid-October. It is anticipated that final configuration of the roadway will be completed as early as October 30, 2014.
Pedestrian access will be maintained as one sidewalk will be available during roadworks. To ensure safety, cyclists will be required to dismount and walk their bikes across the overpass structure during rehabilitation works.
