The National Capital Commission (NCC) is preparing a plan that could transform Ottawa, and we need your help to steer them in the right direction.
As we approach 2017, Canada’s 150th anniversary, the National Capital
Commission is looking for your ideas to help transform Ottawa. The NCC has announced that they are preparing a 50-year plan for Canada’s capital region that will be launched in 2017 and they want to identify 17 major initiatives that will transform Ottawa.
This is where we need you to get involved! The NCC has asked the public to submit ideas on possible projects. How do you want Ottawa to be remembered and represented in the future? Do you want more ill-conceived monuments and statues? Or do you want living monuments that restore Ottawa’s tree canopy, protect and promote our greenspace, and foster a green future for our nation’s capital.
