In September 2016, the City of Ottawa will begin construction in your neighborhood. This work is being done to improve infrastructure in your neighborhood.
WHO: The City of Ottawa Contractor, Ottawa D Squared Construction Limited, will complete the work.
WHY: The City of Ottawa will be proceeding with construction in order to improve transit reliability, cycling safety, and improve traffic operations and safety at the Industrial/Innes/St. Laurent Blvd. Intersection.
WHAT: Work will involve the widening of St. Laurent Blvd. between Industrial Avenue/Innes Road intersection and Smyth Road, resurfacing of St. Laurent Blvd. from Innes Road/Industrial Avenue to south of Smyth Road, watermain, new cycle tracks, sidewalks, traffic signals, street lighting and landscaping within the project limits.
WHEN: Work is expected to begin September 26, 2016. Final completion is anticipated by end of November 2017.
WHERE: St. Laurent Blvd. between Industrial Avenue/Innes Road and Smyth Road.

Night Work
As part of the construction activity, the majority of the construction will be taking place during the overnight periods. Lights will be set up and equipment will be operating which will result in noise and possible vibration. Every effort will be made to minimize disruptions to local residents/businesses.
